Change Your Star. Nothing Impossible.

Ya, benar sekali. Dalam hidup ini, tidak ada yang mustahil. Semua manusia punya peluang untuk mengubah masa depannya menjadi lebih baik. Tidak pandang bulu, pria wanita, kaya miskin, putih hitam, semuanya bisa mengubah masa depan. Ya, karena memang tidak ada yang mustahil. Nothing Impossible.

Banyak sekali contoh di dunia yang bisa kita jadikan pelajaran bahwa Innallaha laa yughayyiruu maa biqaumin hattaa yughayyiruu maa bianfusihim” (Q.13. Ar-Ra’d: 11) - Allah tidak akan sekalipun mengubah nasib suatu bangsa, kecuali bangsa itu mengubah nasibnya sendiri. Salah satunya adalah upaya bangsa Indonesia untuk merdeka. Dan akhirnya, berkat perjuangan dan dukungan rakyat, Bung Karno dan Bung Hatta memproklamirkan kemerdekaan bangsa Indonesia pada 17 Agustus 1945. Merdeka! Peristiwa heroik itu tak lepas dari usaha bangsa ini untuk mengubah masa depannya, tidak melulu di bawah ketiak penjajah. Coba perhatikan video cuplikan Proklamasi Kemerdekaan Indonesia berikut. Betapa sakral dan penuh dengan semangat untuk menunjukkan bahwa bangsa Indonesia adalah bangsa yang besar; dan mampu untuk mengubah masa depannya sendiri.

Contoh yang lain, ada dalam kasus mendiang Michael Jackson. King of Pop yang dikabarkan masuk Islam dan mengubah namanya menjadi Mikaeel itu juga bukti riil bahwa manusia bisa mengubah masa depan. Dulunya, Jackson adalah orang berkulit hitam dengan hidung besar dan bibir tebal. Setelah sukses dan meraup banyak keuntungan dari profesinya sebagai penyanyi pop paling digemari, dia kemudian mengoperasi fisiknya agar tampil seperti orang kulit putih. Ya, langkah yang diambilnya memang kontroversial, bahkan sangat kontroversial. Namun, dari upaya tersebut, setidaknya kita bisa memetik pelajaran bahwa manusia mampu untuk mengubah fisiknya, masa depannya.

Contoh ketiga, ada dalam film A Knight's Tale. Dalam film garapan Brian Helgeland yang rilis tahun 2001 itu, kita bisa melihat dan merasakan perjuangan William (diperankan oleh Heath Ledger) untuk mengubah bintangnya; sebagaimana nasehat ayahnya, John Thatcher (diperankan oleh Christopher Cazenove). William yang notabene adalah pemuda miskin dan anak dari penyulam jala di perkampungan kumuh Cheapside, bisa menjadi ksatria sejati dengan gelar Sir. Ya, Sir William Thatcher adalah namanya, setelah melewati petualangan untuk mengubah masa depannya dengan bertarung dalam pertandingan khusus bangsawan. Khusus bangsawan? Ya. Sebenarnya William menipu untuk bisa mengikuti pertandingan tersebut. Entah, tapi mungkin saja pesan tipuan itu dimaksudkan sebagai otokritik bagi kebudayaan feodalisme yang mengelompokkan manusia dalam kasta-kasta. Yang pasti, William sudah membuktikan bahwa manusia bisa mengubah masa depan.

Sebagaimana Dinda Smart yang menganggap bahwa Nothing Impossible, saya juga demikian. Kami yakin bahwa masa depan ada di tangan. Lantas, apakah Anda juga akan mengubah masa depan? :)
